For North Castle
Town Supervisor
The right qualifications for getting the job done right
Thank you for visiting my website
North Castle has been my home for 37 years, and I am a long-time, dedicated community volunteer, including the Armonk Outdoor Art Show for 30 consecutive years and such events as Frosty Day, Stayin' Alive, the Fol-De-Rol, the Run for Love/Cider and Donut Festival and Town-Wide Cleanup Day. Events such as these epitomize our residents' collaboration and sense of community, and help make our town so unique.
Serving you on the Town Board for 11 years has been an extremely fulfilling experience that has allowed me to use my broad and deep professional background to build a record of solid accomplishments for the special town I have the privilege of calling my home. Now, I am seeking your support in the June 23, 2026 Democratic primary to become your next Town Supervisor.
I am running for Supervisor because serving you in the role of Town Supervisor will better enable me to keep our special town moving forward without surrendering its unique charm and character (which drew so many of us here) to excess development, overcrowding of our roads, downtowns, and potentially our schools, and more generally, decisions that are not well thought out.
We must address the important issues that come before the Town Board with a more intelligent, transparent and inclusive approach. In addition to issues being properly analyzed, decisions must not be made with backroom deals or improperly influenced by financial or personal conflicts of interest. And we must encourage the robust participation of our residents instead of discouraging participation by being hostile to, or belittling, those who express opposing points of view as has been done so often. Furthermore, we must put an end to the wasteful spending of your tax dollars we have seen recently.
On the Town Board, I use my unique combination of financial, legal, business and analytical skills to tackle the myriad important issues that come before the Town Board in a practical, fiscally responsible and cost-effective manner. My education, experience and practical analytical skills are ideally suited for this. After starting my career as a C.P.A. at a top-tier accounting firm, I attended the University of Chicago Law School. I then worked as a tax lawyer at two major law firms in Manhattan (including Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison) and at the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Tax Policy in Washington, D.C. And when I left the government, I gained sophisticated finance experience through business roles in investment banking. My education, training, experience and fiscal discipline are especially relevant for the position of Town Supervisor because the Town Supervisor is our town's Chief Fiscal Officer. Although our town is in great shape, like with any town, there are a number of issues that we need to address. And as our town continues to move forward, it is important that we consolidate and build upon the progress we have made in recent times. Some of the major issues we addressed in past years were the deplorable condition of our local roads and the routine granting of preferential property tax rates to residential developments (in the form of condo taxation) that amounted to subsidies to the developers paid for by the rest of us. More currently, the focus has been on the condition of our infrastructure, such as our Town Hall and Highway Department garage.
Over the course of my campaign for the Democratic primary, I will be speaking with many more of you as I continue to ring doorbells to discuss issues about which you may have questions or concerns and to exchange ideas about how to keep North Castle a great place to live.
